We did it again. If for our last photographic trip to Scotland we chose a terribly cold and snowy period in the Scottish Highlands last year, it seems that this year we did the same. We are leaving  for up there, and half of the area is frozen, temperatures have plummeted down to -20° by the sea and tons of snow cover the land… Just absolutely brilliant! Now, the only thing will be negotiating those roads, avoiding getting jammed, crashing against a deer or ending up in the ditch. We will take care, and lets see which lights await us. In any case, the Scottish winter is so magical that I cannot wait.

We will travel the Torridon area and Assynt up in the North. Some of the oldest rocks in Europe, exposed to the atlantic elements and bathed by the low winter sun…If conditions are half as good as last year, the trip will be a total success. And then, the bonus of sunset by 3.30 pm. A long evening for resting and having a looooong tea…

More news in a couple of weeks. Take care and enjoy the holidays!!

Hello all,

Hard times with all that white stuff falling over the whole Europe. As tough as winter might be, for nature photography it is a total delight being out there in landscapes totally transformed by the cold temperatures.

In order to take advantage of this fairy-tale conditions, we have scheduled and organized a photographic trip in the Jura mountains of the Vaud canton in Switzerland, for the last weekend of February. Snow, trees, alpine horizon and the crispy clear winter air might enable us to capture the very spirit of winter. We will be snowshoeing in the region, and sleeping in a mountain cabin near the middle of nowhere.

As we are still finishing our new RRPhotography Webpage, where among other things all our workshops and photographic trips will be displayed, we have produced a brochure for this next photographic workshop. The information is written in French, as this will be the main language for the workshop. However, as the vast majority of the instruction is personal and individual, we can cater for those who feel more comfortable in other languages than French, like English and Spanish. In any case, do not hesitate to contact us for further information, we will be really glad to contact you and discuss with you directly.

Click on RRPhotography Stage Magie de l’Hiver-Jura 2011  or over the cover photo below to download the Workshop Brochure (french version, please contact for other versions).
